UGSS provides exciting, relevant and dynamic training solutions to customers in order to get themselves ready to work in the security industry. We have a passion in training and believe that our training programmes can convey positive and measurable commercial advantage.

Our approach is distinctive and easy to implement which is demonstrated in the customers’ satisfaction ratings and is also run in the most cost effective way.

Door Supervision Courses are run every alternative week, CCTV Public Space Surveillance and Security Guarding courses are also run occasionally throughout the year depending upon the demand. These courses are approved and conform to standards laid down by the Security Industry Authority. Highly qualified and talented instructors run courses and use training materials that are designed and tailored by Security and Facilities Education Limited (Safe).

UGSS also provides training for English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) at Entry Level, Level 1 and 2 (Speaking and Listening) to the local community who are unable to pass the national Life in the UK test, a mandatory element for one to become a naturalised British Citizen or a permanent resident in the UK. ESOL qualifications will also develop the basic literacy and English language skills that they need to function more fully at work, everyday life and in their local community.

Security Industry Authority

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is an independent body, set up by the Government under the terms of the Private Security Industry Act 2001. You will need a licence if you work as a door supervisor and are responsible for security, protection, screening the suitability of people entering premises or dealing with conflict in pubs, clubs and other licensed premises open to the public.
